Mr. Peter Thomson
UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Ocean
Peter Thomson is a Fijian diplomat serving as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Envoy for the Ocean. He previously served as the President of the UN General Assembly (2016-2017) and Fiji's Permanent Representative to the UN (2010-2016). Thomson is a recognized advocate for sustainable ocean management and works to advance action and partnerships to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 14
